Temple Quarter Community Fund

About the Fund

The Temple Quarter Community Fund is designed to make sure local people and community organisations can benefit from change happening in their area.

The initial community fund is £45,000, with grants of up to £5,000 (Tier 1) and up to £1,000 (Tier 2) available to support community initiatives and organisations.

The priorities of the fund are the three themes identified in the Bristol Temple Quarter Charter:

Sustainable Places – making greener, more resilient, and welcoming spaces

Good Work for All – creating skills, opportunity and meaningful activity

Community Wellbeing – fostering inclusion, connections, and support

The Temple Quarter Community Fund is managed by Quartet Community Foundation, which administers the grants and supports local groups throughout the application process.

FAQ’s

Grant details

How much funding can we apply for?
There are two funding tiers for the Temple Quarter Community grant, with the highest amount available being £5,000.

Tier 1 funding is a grant between £1,000–£5,000.
Tier 2 funding is a smaller grant of up to £1,000.
What is the difference between a Tier 1 and a Tier 2 grant?

Tier 1 Funding is a grant of £1,000–£5,000. There is one round of applications for Tier 1 funding, which closes at 11am on Monday 17 November and will be decided by a single decision panel.

Tier 2 Funding is a grant of up to £1,000. This is a rolling programme, with no final closing date, and applications will be considered at three different decision panels.

There are two separate application forms — one for organisations applying for Tier 1 funding, and one for Tier 2.

Can we apply for both Tier 1 and Tier 2 grants?
No, you cannot apply for both a Tier 1 grant (£1,000–£5,000) and a Tier 2 grant (up to £1,000).
How long do we have to spend the grant?
The grant should be spent within 12 months of receipt.
Can we apply more than once?
No, organisations may not submit more than one application to the programme, even if the applications are for different projects.

This means that you cannot apply for both a Tier 1 grant (£1,000–£5,000) and a Tier 2 grant (up to £1,000).
