St Philip’s Greenway will be diverted on the 30th June for essential works for the construction of the new bridge to Arena Island.
Cattle Market Road and Feeder Road will be temporarily closed from the 7th July for essential road widening and service diversions as part of the work to install a new bridge and infrastructure on Arena Island site in Bristol.
- Access to the Bristol Wood Recycling Project will be maintained from the A4 Temple Gate, there will not be access from the Feeder Road.
- Access to County Tyres and industries located within the Feeder Road Business Park will be from Albert Road and onto Feeder Road. There will be no access from Cattle Market Road.
This closure is happening to allow the demolition of the stone bridge that crosses over the former lock that links the Floating Harbour with the River Avon. Signage will be located in the area at key points during the work. .
The dates granted for the closure are from 9th June 2014 to the 9th December 2015. We envisage that the works shall be completed sooner than the dates allowed for in the order, and will provide regular updates on this as work progresses.
