Temporary disruption to signals on Old Market Roundabout

Works are currently being undertaken on Temple Way to create a new dedicated cycle and bus lane. These works extend up to the Old Market Roundabout, and include replacing current traffic signals.

As part of this work, the signal at the roundabout will have to be temporarily turned off between 8am on Saturday 16th April and 6pm on Sunday 17th April. As a result, the pedestrian crossings across the roundabout will not be operational and temporary signage will be installed to direct pedestrians to alternative safe crossing points such as Old Market, Castle Street, Bond Street and the Temple Way Underpass.

We regret and apologise for the temporary inconvenience over this period, but consider that the improvements offered by the permanent new facilities for buses and replacement equipment will provide significant long term benefits.
