Part of the 25 year ambition for the project is to provide up to 11,000 new homes. These homes will sit within a new city quarter, alongside high quality employment space, improved public spaces and complementary retail and leisure uses.
Analysis shows that there is capacity for more than 4,500 of these homes to be located in the immediate vicinity of Temple Meads station. To support delivery of these homes, the West of England Combined Authority (WECA) has submitted a bid for £250m of Housing Infrastructure Fund (HIF) monies, £100m of which relates to Temple Quarter, and is working with partners to develop a comprehensive masterplan for both the station and the land around it.
Significant levels of housing are already included in several private sector projects coming forward in the area, including Finzel’s Reach and Redcliff Quarter.
More information about housing developments in Temple Quarter will be added as they come forwards.
