The iconic Big Top is up in Temple Quay and Creative Common’s second season is now officially underway, with a press and gala launch last night.

First up are the internationally renowned contemporary circus performance company, NoFit State, with their award-winning show, ‘Bianco’ running from June 7th-23rd. Tickets are usually £18 but they are offering some selected shows with a 20% discount via the Bristol eflyer.

Also on the once derelict site is the Goods Yard, run by Inside Out Adventures. This is the Creative Common bar for events, as well as the box office, art and exhibition and small event space.

From June 17th, Yurt Lush will be opening a café/restaurant with a 60 cover capacity. This will be available for private hire and will be run by Eat Drink Events.

The Temple Quay Tea Garden will launch on July 4th, offering people the chance to pick their own pukka teas.

After NoFit State leave and take their spaceship Big Top with them, the Creative Common Big Top will go up in its place and host a series of events over the coming months.

The Creative Common Children’s Summer Play Camp will give children the chance to learn circus skills, balloon, kite and puppet making. The camp runs from July 29th to August 30th, from 8am-6pm.  There will be up to 40 places per day at £25 per day for age 8+, 8am – 6pm.   Concessionary places for low income families and some free places will also be available.

Creative Common are anticipating an audience of up to 100,000 with their nine month season this year, which features 250 artists and will create 58 full time jobs in the Enterprise Zone.
