It’s incredible to think that a city as compact as Bristol could have such a significant impact on the global business and cultural stage.  Let’s take a few examples…

Supersonic passenger air travel was born in Bristol, with the design of the iconic Concorde. Historically, Isambard Kingdom Brunel designed and built some of his most famous bridges and ships here. World famous graffiti artist Banksy began his assault on the establishment from these streets. The Bloodhound, the first 1000mph car is being developed here. Finally on a lighter note, Oscar-winning Wallace and Gromit still live in Bristol, thanks to the imagination of Aardman Animations.

Bristol is the UK’s leader in the EU Green Capital group, becoming a shining example of what can be achieved from an ethical and sustainable point of view. Scattered around the nearby countryside are wind farms and organic farms. We’re also a Fair Trade City, trading with over 5 million workers across 58 developing countries.
